About JUNA
JUNA are an indie-rock and alt-pop band from Wellington — Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Aotearoa New Zealand. Formed in August 2025, the four-piece self-produce a bright, high-energy sound that pulls from The 1975, Sam Fender and Olivia Dean — big hooks, textured guitars, and vocals that stick on the first listen.
Fronted by Hannah on vocals, with Max on guitar and Hayden on drums. Their debut single “Say So Little” — built on syncopated rhythms and textured guitars — racked up over 20,000 streams in its first two weeks. Second single “SHUT UP” followed, written by Hannah about the tension of falling for a best friend and not being able to say it out loud. A debut EP is on the way.
JUNA have played across Wellington since forming — Gardens Magic, a sold-out all-ages show at the Newtown Community Centre, CubaDupa 2026 at Hamodava Cafe, and San Fran on Cuba Street.
